Tenchi's Arrival
Tenchi is lost in the wooded mountain outside Junai Academy and has violent encounters with the main characters of the series there before he is able to arrive. Tenchi Encounter
In an episode that heavily references the story of Kibitsuhiko no Mikoto, Tenchi and Momo encounter Inukai Takeru, Sasa Morihiko, and Tome Tamaomi (retainers of the Emperor's prince in the original story), who resemble Hachiko, Touri, and Hana. Walking the Maze
This episode features prominent references to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
